One of the hardest things I’ve dealt with isn’t business-related — it’s personal. I’ve had fibromyalgia since I was a teenager. Some days, the pain is so bad I can barely breathe.
But I’m still here. Still building. Still leading.
What’s helped me the most isn’t just lifestyle changes (though those matter)—it’s mindset. I’ve learned to protect my peace like it’s a full-time job. Stress makes pain worse. So I’ve gotten better at saying no, letting go, and focusing on positivity. Every habit, every boundary, every delegated task is part of that healing.
If you’re facing a chronic condition while trying to lead or grow a business, I see you. It’s not easy—but it is possible. You don’t have to choose between building your dream and honoring your body.
You just have to be strategic about both.
